Fairfax County residents deserve a Commonwealth’s Attorney who puts public safety first. Let him know you’re paying attention.
Dear Commonwealth’s Attorney Descano,
I am writing to you as a Fairfax County voter who is deeply concerned about the impact your policies are having on the safety of our community.
Your record of releasing violent individuals with documented histories of dangerous behavior back into our neighborhoods is unacceptable. These are not abstract policy decisions. They have real consequences for real families in Fairfax County — the community you were elected to protect.
As Commonwealth’s Attorney, your fundamental responsibility is the safety of Fairfax County residents. That responsibility must come before ideology, before politics, and before any policy agenda. When individuals with extensive violent histories are released back onto our streets, you are failing in that responsibility.
I am demanding that you immediately reassess your approach to prosecutorial decisions involving violent offenders. Specifically, I am calling on you to:
- Prioritize public safety in every release and sentencing decision
- Take seriously the documented violent histories of individuals in your jurisdiction
- Listen to and respect the recommendations of Fairfax County law enforcement
- Be transparent with Fairfax County residents about the criteria used in your decisions
Fairfax County deserves a Commonwealth’s Attorney who leads with judgment, not ideology. I will be watching your record closely — and I will be making my voice heard at the ballot box in 2027.
Respectfully,
[Your Name]
